Home
Welcome to the Nelson Rotary web-site!

This is the home of the Rotary Club of Nelson & Rotary Club of Nelson Daybreak. The Rotary Club of Nelson Daybreak was sponsored by the Rotary Club of Nelson as that club had reached what was considered to be an ideal size.

Each Rotary Club operates independently but within the standards outlined by Rotary International. The clubs seek opportunities to support each other in achieving the objects of Rotary. The home for both clubs is the "Heritage Inn" which has provided Rotarians with exemplary service for over 50 years.

Newsletter June 2008
Dave and Wendy Simpson and Sheila and Bill Hart hosted a “meet and greet”  tea  on June 6 for the 8 member Friendship Exchange Team from South Africa and the team’s drivers from Castlegar, Gordon Turner and Jake and Linda Krahn. The team visited Invermere, Cranbrook, Castlegar, Colville and Spokane during their exchange. Team members were quick to extend  invitations for a future exchange with their district or for hosting for individual Rotarians interested in visiting either Port Elizabeth or East London. The team was thrilled by their adventures in Canada and were most pleased to have seen bear, deer and elk. The Rotary Club of Gately in East London exchanged a banner with Nelson Daybreak. Sheila Hart presented Certificates of Appreciation and D5080 pins to the team members.

The Rotary Daybreak Club of Nelson Newsletter for June 2008 is now available.
